Once every two years scientists interested in judgment and decision
making research meet in a European city to participate in a scientific
conference called "SPUDM", which stands for "Subjective Probability,
Utility, and Decision Making". SPUDM represents an international and
interdisciplinary forum for scientists dealing with modelling,
analysing and aiding decision processes. It covers fundamental as well
as applied research, attracting contributions from various disciplines
such as psychology, economics, medicine, law, management science,
philosophy, and computer science.
The history of the SPUDM meetings dates back to 1969 when the first
conference was held in Hamburg, followed by Amsterdam (1970), London
(1971), Rome (1973), Darmstadt (1975), Warsaw (1977), Göteborg (1979),
Budapest (1981), Groningen (1983), Helsinki (1985), Cambridge (1987),
Moscow (1989), Fribourg (1991), Aix-en-Provence (1993), Jerusalem
(1995), Leeds (1997), Mannheim (1999), Amsterdam (2001), Zürich (2003),
Stockholm (2005) and Warsaw (2007).
SPUDM-22 will be organised in Rovereto (Italy), in August 2009
